At Netcare, we strive to always provide you with the best and safest care. We use scientific criteria to measure the quality of our care on an ongoing basis and closely monitor our performance against these measures.

We’ve adopted local and international standards in measuring the safety of our care and encourage our employees to report all safety related incidents.

Our focus on quality of care drives us to attain independent validation of our performance

A key objective of our consistency of care strategy is clinical governance, which includes us sustaining a world-class quality management system. Here we monitor compliance to processes, regulations and standards which are recognised for achieving the best and safest care.

How do we do this?

Through the British Standards Institute (BSI) independent ISO 9001:2015 certification, which was first awarded to our Group in 2018 and again in 2019 and 2020, covering Netcare hospitals, Netcare Medicross, radiation oncology, National Renal Care (NRC) and Netcare 911.

By submitting annual reports to the Office of Health Standards Compliance (OHSC) and complying with requirements for submission of early warning system indicators (EWSI).

By conducting rigorous internal quality reviews of documentation, processes and outcomes against standards, scoring the results and identifying areas needing focused improvement.
